Oukala IP Holdco LLC ("we", "our", or "us") operates the Cavé mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our App.

Information We Collect

We collect the following types of information:

• Account information: Your name, email address, and authentication credentials when you create an account.
• Wine collection data: Information you enter about your wine collection, including bottle names, vintages, tasting notes, and cellar locations.
• Usage data: How you interact with the App, including features used and session duration, collected via PostHog analytics.
• Device information: Device type, operating system version, and crash reports collected via Sentry error tracking.
• Photos: Wine label photos you choose to capture or upload. These are stored securely and associated only with your account.

How We Use Your Information

• To provide and improve the App's features, including AI-powered sommelier recommendations.
• To sync your wine collection across your devices.
• To send you notifications about your cellar (drink windows, temperature alerts) if you opt in.
• To diagnose and fix technical issues.
• To understand how the App is used so we can improve it.

AI Features (Margaux)

Cavé includes an AI sommelier feature powered by Anthropic's Claude API. When you interact with Margaux, your messages and relevant collection context are sent to Anthropic's servers to generate responses. We do not store your conversation history beyond your current session unless you explicitly save it. Anthropic's privacy policy governs their handling of this data.

Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with:

• Supabase: Our database and authentication provider, used to store your account and collection data securely.
• Anthropic: To power AI sommelier features (message content only, no personal profile data).
• PostHog: Anonymised usage analytics to improve the App.
• Sentry: Error reporting to help us fix crashes.

All service providers are bound by data processing agreements and are prohibited from using your data for their own purposes.

Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it by law.

Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Access, correct, or delete your personal data
• Export your data in a portable format
• Opt out of analytics tracking
• Request that we stop processing your data

Security

We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted data transmission (TLS), secure cloud storage, and row-level security to protect your data. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

Children's Privacy

Cavé is not directed at children under 17 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
